4DForce GmbH is developing a device that enables one to control computer games through the power of thoughts or brain waves.

With 4DForce GmbH’s BCI technology (Brain Computer Interface), brain waves will be recorded through an easy to use wireless headset and analyzed by its diagnostic software. In addition, other biological signals may be used to control the computer game, for example, with EOG (Electrooculography - measurement of eye movement). When wearing the headset, one can operate and move, for example, a character within virtual worlds on the connected computer without the use of a common joystick, video game controller or keyboard.

An advantageous side effect of playing this game is that it stimulates and promotes concentration and coordination. Already, the technology is successfully being used for medical purposes, in such cases as, therapy for ADHD and migraines. In addition, the amplifying technology is protected by worldwide patents.

44DForce GmbH focuses its development on consumer electronics. Though, this technology can also be applied and used in other areas as well.
