ProximusDA GmbH
ProximusDA GmbH develops a program that helps optimize the use of hardware resources of a computer to increase its computational speed. In recent years, the development of even faster computer chips has hit a physical limit. To solve this problem, processor developers no longer offer single-core devices; rather, they have replaced it with several cores (so-called multi-core processors/chips). However, it is an exceedingly complex challenge to break down the computational tasks into the different cores, while the entire theoretical computer power is converted into an increased speed. The task of ProximusDA GmbH’s software is to facilitate and give developers the opportunity to write their programs in such a way that they first analyze the computer processors and cores and then optimally distribute the computing tasks. This capability (referred to as, parallel computing) is particularly useful for programs that run on a mainframe or deploy multiple computers in a network, e.g. in a bank. ProximusDA GmbH’s partly patented software has substantial advantages, such as its ability to significantly increase computing speed combined with smaller hardware requirements, as well as its ability to reduce power consumption. Several pilot customers already run the program for trial purposes. |
